Lacie showed an interest in Interior Design when she was still a young child. She began with rearranging her childhood bedroom meticulously and often, which she still does to this day in her own home. As early as grade school, Lacie sought out classes that nurtured her design sense, including early education interior design courses. Lacie never had any doubts about her passion and enrolled in design school from her first day in college. At UTC she discovered her interest in commercial design and eventually applied to an internship at Artech which evolved into a full-time position following her graduation. While at Artech, Lacie has had the opportunity to grow her portfolio and knowledge in all types of commercial design including healthcare, corporate, entertainment, education and adaptive re-use.

Lacie studied Interior Architecture and acquired a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is currently working towards getting her NCIDQ certification.
