Fire Station #9
CHATTANOOGA, TN
This one-story, double-bay fire station was designed to fit into the residential character and scale of Eighth Avenue in Chattanooga. Intended to act as a public facility for the neighborhood, Firehall No. 9 received LEED silver certification, a program developed by the U.S. Building Council to establish standards for environmentally sustainable construction. The firehall is equipped with a natural gas-powered generator to keep the station operational during power outages or natural disasters.
